Will You Share Your Story?
Hello friends!
Phew! Announcing the Pluck Out Your Eyeball series has been amazing. Truth be told, my heart was racing before I hit “send” on last week’s e-mail.
But how beautiful to see such a powerful response!
This past week I have received testimonies, encouragements, and even other artists sharing their own songs and artwork with me!
An artist friend shared this with me:
“It was so interesting seeing your post on porn because the Lord revealed to me just this Lent that one of the reasons the Enemy has attacked me through porn (not my own use, but through people I love and the broken trust that comes with that), is precisely because of my mission of beauty. It has begun to bring peace and healing to that area of my heart. I really think you’re onto something. God be with you in your mission!”
Already I can see this project is way bigger than me.

This week I want to ask more specifically for your stories.
If you’ve been damaged by porn - whether through using it, being used by it, or being betrayed by it, I’d love to know how this has impacted you.
I will use these stories as a part of my prayer process in developing the images.

Finally, this is a project that is trying to combat lust (or really any wound) with beauty. Today I have a homework assignment for you.
After you finish the questionnaire, or when you have some time to be alone, play this video and simply worship God with these anointed musicians.
Put your phone on Do Not Disturb, shut the door, and sing to Jesus.
We are surrounded by beauty, but most of us are going so fast through life that we don’t take a moment to let that beauty seep into our hearts.
Risk the vulnerability of letting this beauty tend to your heart today.
