This original oil painting depicts Jesus diving into shark infested waters to rescue two children at the bottom of a dark abyss. These two children represent Adam and Eve. The message is simple: there is no depth so deep, dark, scary, or risky that could keep Jesus from coming to rescue you.
I painted this as a response to feeling of helplessness in my own life. The deeper I go in my relationship with Jesus, the closer I reach the end of my own power. The trials and “pit” moments of life remind me just how much I need a Savior - and Jesus is more than willing to be that Savior.
This painting was done on a recycled corporate banner to further emphasize the message of redemption. The frame is handmade by my dad.
