Off the Easel!
Here are all the cool projects I was able to finish this month! Which one’s your favorite?
Color Me Happy
I was honored to paint live for a local non-profit’s gala! Cornerstones of Care provides resources for foster care families and trauma prevention. Their gala’s theme was “Color Me Happy” so it only made sense to create a colorful work of art for the donors! At the end of the night it was auctioned off to this generous donor!
The Hilton’s
Kamryn and Tony gave me quite the challenge in asking me to paint at their wedding! From beginning to end, I had only 3.5 hours to paint this beautiful couple. I call that a marathon wedding!
With the scent of espresso in the air at The Delaware venue and an audience of the most joyful and prayerful friends and family, it was an exhilarating experience. I love how their painting turned out!

Sacred Heart of Jesus
I’m continuing to use my client’s feedback to sketch out ideas for this Sacred Heart painting! She loved the look of the dark monstrance with incense wafting up from behind as it reminds her of Jesus’ heart blazing bright in the midst of dark trials. This design is officially greenlit and I’m ready to move onto production!
The Hodes’ Grotto
I’m loving how this grotto painting is coming together! I started with a burnt sienna acrylic underpainting to block in the general values and then painted on top of this “guide”. There’s still much to be done, but I love the dappled lighting!

Special prayer request! Would you take a moment and ask God to heal my wrist? As I’m sure you’ve seen, I’ve been wearing a brace for the past 4 months from a volleyball injury. I’ve officially been put on “wrist rest” so I’m prevented on making too much progress on projects as it heals up. Now is a time where I’m being stretched to trust that He will take care of me even in this “rest and no productivity” period. Thank you for the prayers! I am praying for you!
