“ Mattie was able to masterfully create an image I received in prayer for over a year. Seeing it for the first time took my breath away and broke me open in a way words cannot describe. The way she portrayed Mary was this fierce representation of a mother who is in the trenches for her children. She captured her posture, demeanor and heart perfectly. It is proudly displayed in our home and invites myself, and my family into a space of meditation with Our Lady and consider how she thoughtfully works on loosening each knot in our heart.

When I received a text from Mattie of the finished work, I had just returned from Adoration in Medgourje. I captured a photo of the Blessed Sacrament, and upon returning home, I looked at the images on my phone. I saw the smiling face of Jesus in the Eucharist - the same smiling face that Mattie painted in her piece. This was an amazing confirmation that Jesus will heal my children, and also that the Holy Spirit is working through Mattie!
