Based on Mark 5:25-34, this art print depicts the scene where a woman who has suffered a hemorrhage for 12 years without cure takes a leap of faith. Though ritually unclean (and therefore a scandal to touch anyone), she has great faith that if she just touches Jesus’ clothes, she will be healed. Because of this great faith, the flow of blood dries up immediately and Jesus, in His great love for her, names her “daughter” - a name she has probably not heard in a very long time.

Originally drawn after this passage was read at mass. I saw the hand first, then sketched from there.
